LaToya is a visual artist, based in Long Beach CA, and specializing in Photography, Video, Branding, and related visual communication. She received her BFA in 2013. Self-produces a weekly YouTube channel, TorinTalks.

In 2006 he founded Slav Zatoka Images and began photographing architecture, healthcare and portraiture commercially while running a portrait studio in Orange with his wife. Today Slav continues to grow as a commercial photographer, photographing editorials and also operates a small production company called Silverstudio.pro.
Some of his awards include 2008 Hasselblad Portrait Award Finalist, 2012 PDN 1st Place in Music Moment of The Year in Crowd Category and 2014 Best Documentary Short at LA Movie Awards for his documentary: “Fighter’s Room”. Slav is a member of APA and is a member board of directors of ASMP Los Angeles.
His clients include Meredith Corp., Columbia, Capital One, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Atlantic Media, Ansell Medical and many more. In 2016 Slav was also a mentor to Los Angeles based photography students under Young Photographer Alliance program entitled American Landscapes.

Paul Mendoza from AIGA will be joining this panel with students that have transferred to Cal State Long Beach and others that are working in the industry. It will be an opportunity for current design students to ask questions about how to build their portfolio for transfer and how navigate the job market.
3:00 - 4:30pm Portfolio Reviews
Portfolio Review gives student an opportunity to have his or her work reviewed by professional gallery owners, curators, editors, successful artists and photographers. It’s a great way to improve his/her portfolio and establish a network between reviewers and peers. Art students have walked away from Portfolio Reviews with new ideas, opportunities to exhibit, publish, and sell their work.

6:30 - 8:00pm K143 Art Director and Designer Khara Cloutier
A native of Austin, Texas, Khara Cloutier is a designer and educator residing in Long Beach, California. She has developed unique brand identities for various clients and taught numerous classes on layout and print production at the college level.
Her design work for fashion design brand YA-YA has been featured in Print magazine, and her museum catalog for Significant Ordinaries has been archived at the University Library - Special Collections, California State University, Long Beach. In addition to these publications, Khara has participated in group exhibitions, such as Pixels of Identities at the Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice, Italy; Arcanum at D’Clinic Studios in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary and Pushing the Press at A+D Museum in Los Angeles.
